Field Engineer
DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a Field Engineer that can work well in a fast-paced environment. This role supports the construction of utility-scale solar PV plants and involves significant travel to project sites.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate inspections and facilitate discussions with local, county, and state Authorities Having Jurisdictions (AHJs)Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify that sites have been constructed to design specifications and standardsDocument and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including but not limited to red-line setsCompose and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and long-term project ownersHold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable to their Scopes of WorkReview construction material submittalsAssist in the preparation of specifications, data sheets and other pre-construction planningMaintain storm water documentation logs and orchestrate respective remediationProactively manage project constraints through collaboration with project management, engineering, and construction personnelOperate drones to capture construction progress/issuesSkillsExperience working against deadlinesExperience creating reports and compiling dataExperience working in a team settingBachelors Degree or higher in a technical disciplineExperience operating drones or possessing an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) licenseExperience in a Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management role in the Renewables or Oil & Energy fieldsExperience in a leadership positionExperience communicating in multi-lingual environmentsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFlexible spending and health savings accountsLife insuranceADDDisabilityRetirementPaid vacation/time offEducational assistanceInfertility assistancePaid parental leaveAdoption assistanceCompany OverviewBased in Wichita, Kansas, Koch is one of the largest private companies in America.
