The Field Claims Representative at Auto-Owners Insurance is responsible for investigating and resolving property claims in Southern Colorado. Responsibilities
Ā Investigate and assemble facts related to claims.

Ā Determine policy coverage and evaluate the amount of loss.

Ā Analyze legal liability for claims.

Ā Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in assigned territories.

Ā Become familiar with insurance coverage by studying policies, endorsements, and forms.

Ā Work towards the resolution of claims, attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.

Ā Ensure claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.

Ā Conduct investigations via phone, mail, and on-site visits.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Ā A minimum of 3 years handling multi-line property and casualty claims with an emphasis on property claims.

Ā Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
,
Ā Ability to resolve complex issues and organize data.
,
Ā Possess a valid driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
Ā Field claims handling experience is helpful but not required.

Ā Knowledge of Xactimate software is preferred but not required.
