Federal Tax Manager
Robert Half is partnering with a public accounting firm based in Lakewood, CO to hire a permanent Federal Tax Manager! This role is ideal for someone who excels in providing strategic tax solutions for flow-through entities and business owners. As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to lead complex engagements while mentoring others and fostering strong client relationships.
• **Local candidates have the flexibility to work from the office at their convenience or work fully remote. The company is also open to hiring fully remote employees from anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and review complex tax compliance and consulting engagements for partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations
• Prepare and review business tax returns for sophisticated, multi-state entities.
• Provide strategic tax planning, research, and structuring advice.
• Collaborate with a team of tax specialists to solve complex tax issues and support client decision-making. • Mentor staff and participate in development and training.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on project status and client needs.
• Proactively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting.
• CPA required.
• 5+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of partnership and S Corporation taxation, including basis rules, transaction planning, Section 704(c), 754 elections, and capital account maintenance.
• Proficiency in tax software. They use CCH Axcess & Engagement
Nice to have:
• Masters in Taxation.
• Experience with real estate investment structures, capital gain planning, private equity funds, and joint ventures a plus.
• Big Four or second-tier firm
