In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation of government affairs initiatives, playing a critical role in shaping and driving our federal advocacy strategy. As a Federal Government Relations Manager, you’ll act as a key liaison between Keeper, government officials, lawmakers, lobbyists and external stakeholders, ensuring our advocacy efforts are aligned with company goals. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance policy priorities and ensure Keeper’s interests are effectively represented. Your expertise in government relations, legislative processes, proposal writing, relevant timelines and other facets of public policy will be essential in navigating the complex political landscape, ensuring our continued success and competitiveness.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement the company’s federal advocacy strategyLead the execution of government affairs initiatives aligned with Keeper’s business objectives and policy prioritiesBuild and maintain relationships with government officials, lawmakers, lobbyists and external stakeholdersMonitor key legislative dates and deadlines, create a strategic calendar that aligns with goals, and execute the plan effectively, ensuring resources are allocated and tasks are completed on timeIdentify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships with third-party stakeholder organizations, and manage ongoing relationships with these groupsManage special projects related to government affairs, including policy research, stakeholder engagement, public relations and the development of advocacy materials, providing strategic recommendationsDevelop policy communications, including position papers, legislative proposals, briefing materials, and memos, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in messagingCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including public sector, communications and leadership, to ensure consistent and effective government relations strategiesTrack and analyze federal legislation and regulatory developments that impact Keeper’s business, stakeholders, and growthProvide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on potential policy changes or advocacy opportunities that align with company objectivesRepresent Keeper at industry events and public policy forums, influencing policy discussions and fostering relationships with key stakeholdersTrack and report on key government relations metrics, ensuring effective measurement and evaluation of advocacy effortsMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy efforts, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to achieve desired outcomesProvide training and guidance to internal teams on government relations processes, policy positions, and the potential impact of legislationRequirements5+ years of experience in government relations, public policy or related fields, with a proven track record of successful advocacyIn-depth knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze complex policy issuesStrong relationships with federal policymakers, agency officials and key stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, including the ability to write clear, compelling policy papers, legislative proposals, briefing materials, reports and moreExperience in strategic planning and the ability to drive initiatives to successful executionExperience in policy analysis and advocacy, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations based on research and legislative developmentsKnowledge of political trends, key dates and deadlines, and the ability to anticipate potential impacts on the company’s business objectivesExperience in tech or cybersecurity preferredA Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field or equivalent experienceBenefitsMedical, Dental Vision (Inclusive of domestic partnerships)Employer Paid Life Insurance Employee/Spouse/Child Supplemental lifeVoluntary Short/Long Term Disability Insurance401k (Roth/Traditional)A generous PTO plan that celebrates your commitment and seniority (including paid Bereavement/Jury Duty, etc)Above market annual bonusesKeeper Security, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and participant in the U.S. Federal E-Verify program.
