Family Lawyer
Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!Compensation:
$110,000 - $220,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
ā¢ Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
ā¢ Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
ā¢ Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
ā¢ Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
ā¢ High-net-worth divorce experience (business interests, real property portfolios, trusts/complex financials)
ā¢ Experience working with public figures / privacy-sensitive clients
ā¢ Trial experience or meaningful evidentiary hearing track record
ā¢ Ability to support firm growth through process improvement and team development
Qualifications:
ā¢ Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
ā¢ Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
ā¢ Bachelorās degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
ā¢ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
ā¢ Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred
ā¢ Active California Bar license in good standing
ā¢ 5+ years California family law experience (high-asset + contested custody required)
ā¢ Demonstrated litigation experience (contested hearings, strong motion practice; trial experience preferred)
ā¢ Strong legal writing skills (declarations and persuasive narrative building are essential)
ā¢ High emotional intelligence, strong boundaries, and professionalism under pressure
ā¢ Organized and accountable in a remote environment
