Job Summary
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Fall Adjunct Faculty member in School Counseling. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching online courses, holding office hours, and assisting students as needed. This is a part-time, temporary appointment, assigned per semester and on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
Teach up to nine (9) semester credit hours within the required discipline at the online site as dictated by student demand
Hold office hours and assist students as needed
Develop and deliver engaging online course content
Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Participate in departmental and university-wide meetings and events
Education and Experience
To be considered for this position, you must have:
A Master's degree in Education or a related field
At least three years of EC-12 teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level
Previous online teaching experience at the collegiate level
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
The ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, colleagues, and the general public
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
The ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines
