General Description

The Facilities Maintenance I is responsible for performing a wide variety of general maintenance duties and repair work throughout the corporation. This includes minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and office equipment repairs, replacing light bulbs, snow removal, and paper shred removal. Also coordinates and assists with furniture moves as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs general maintenance and repair work, including minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs on equipment such as electrical fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains. This duty is performed about 30% of the time.
• Performs other maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, removing snow from walkways, maintaining paper shred removal, and performing minor repairs on office equipment, etc. This duty is performed about 40% of the time.
• Monitors and reviews the inventory of expendable supplies utilized in the maintenance area and informs the Facilities Manager when items need reordered. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.
• Operates a motor vehicle to travel to all bank locations to perform maintenance duties. This duty is performed about 15% of the time.
• Keeps supply/storage area clean and keeps supplies off the floor at all times. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.
• Coordinates and assists with furniture moves as necessary. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).
• Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training
• Occasional use of desktop/laptop computer, basic operating systems, and specialized software systems.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office and Word Processing
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

License Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and/or the ability to travel to other Great Southern Bank locations as needed.
