Export Trade Compliance Counsel
Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom
We are seeking an Export Counsel to join our International Trade and Regulatory team. This role focuses on advising clients on U.S. export compliance, licensing, and international shipping regulations. You will work closely with global businesses to ensure adherence to export controls while facilitating cross-border trade.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating export-related contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
• Providing legal guidance on export controls, licensing requirements, and international trade compliance.
• Collaborating with internal teams and clients on export strategies and global supply chain compliance.
• Managing legal issues related to export compliance for clients in technology, manufacturing, and aerospace sectors.
• Monitoring global regulatory changes to provide timely guidance on export matters.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience advising on U.S. export regulations, licensing, and international trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in technology, healthcare/pharma, aerospace, or manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with multinational corporate operations and cross-border agreements.
Compensation:
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
