Role Description Join a leading AI lab’s cutting-edge GenAI team and help build foundational AI models from the ground up. We're seeking talented Math and Statistics subject-matter experts (SMEs) to bring deep domain expertise and elevate the quality of our AI training data. This is a remote, flexible opportunity to collaborate directly with the research teams of a leading AI lab. Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in your Math domain. Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to your domain specialty. As a domain SME, you'll set the gold standard for quality and rigor. Develop guidelines and detailed rubrics/evaluation frameworks to assess Math reasoning across tasks. Design challenging, domain-relevant Math tasks across multiple specializations, and write accurate and well-structured solutions to Math problems. Evaluate Math tasks and solutions and provide clear, written feedback. Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data. Qualifications Location: Applicant MUST be currently living in the US Education: A Master's or Ph.D. degree from a top-tier university in Mathematics or Statistics. Experience: Have 3+ years of professional experience in a math-centered role at a reputable institution. Domain expertise in 1 or more of the following: Foundations Arithmetic Algebra Geometry Trigonometry Calculus Probability and Statistics Number Theory Topology Benefits Pay rate between $110 and $120 per hour. Flexible, remote work that will have a significant impact on the development of advanced AI models. Initial commitment of 18 weeks, with potential to extend based on project needs and performance. Ideal commitment of ~40hrs/week with a minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week. You'll join calibration calls with the client’s team 2-5x per week (PST business hours).
