Expert Logistics Coordinator (Flat-Rate Per Shipment) – China-to-US / EST Hours - Contract to Hire
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive Logistics & Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage our shipping process on a flat-rate, per-shipment basis.
If you have a deep rolodex of shipping contacts, advanced knowledge of customs paperwork/tariffs, and a relentless problem-solving attitude, we want you on our team. You will essentially own the logistics pipeline for each shipment from production completion to final delivery.
📋 Key Responsibilities (Per Shipment)
Quote Coordination: Leverage your extensive network of contacts in the shipping world to secure competitive, reliable freight quotes.
Paperwork Verification: Meticulously review all shipping documentation (Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, etc.). You must know exactly what to look for regarding tariff rates, HTS codes, and compliance to ensure everything is filled out perfectly.
Factory Liaison: Communicate directly with our manufacturing partners in China to coordinate pickup windows and documentation readiness.
Internal Communication: Keep our US-based Customer Service team updated seamlessly so they can manage client expectations.
🎯 Required Qualifications
Advanced English Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable.
Time Zone Availability: Must be available to collaborate during EST (Eastern Standard Time) business hours.
Expert Knowledge: Proven track record in international logistics, specifically China-to-US lanes, customs clearance, and tariff structures.
The "Unstoppable" Mindset: We need someone with a strong problem-solving personality. If a port is backed up, a carrier cancels, or paperwork is delayed, you don’t get stuck—you find a workaround.
💰 Compensation
Type: Flat rate per completed shipment (Not hourly).
