About the Role We're seeking an experienced and passionate Virtual Support Needs Educator to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This fully remote opportunity allows you to work from anywhere, providing virtual academic instruction to students with mild to moderate support needs and extensive support needs. As a Virtual Support Needs Educator, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and create your own schedule, working with students across different schools and districts. Key Responsibilities Teach the curriculum of the school on the district's virtual platform, ensuring engaging and effective instruction for students. Attend district professional development sessions and faculty meetings to stay updated on best practices and collaborate with other educators. Record student progress and maintain accurate records to inform instruction and support student success. Partner with in-class facilitators who are physically present with students to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Create lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum, promoting creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment. Develop strategies to engage and nurture student learning, fostering positive relationships and academic growth. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as a Virtual Support Needs Educator with Fullmind Learning, you'll need: Essential Qualifications Active, USA state-issued teaching certification in Mild to Moderate Support Needs/Extensive Support Needs (California certification required). Authorization to work in the United States. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Reliable laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and internet access. Willingness to participate in a Virtual Skills Teaching Demonstration and submit a background check as part of the application process. Preferred Qualifications Prior online teaching experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction in a virtual setting. Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
