Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced virtual math tutor to join our team. As a virtual math tutor with Littera Education, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tutoring services to students in grades 6, 7, and 8 with middle school math concepts. This is a contract remote position, and we offer a competitive salary of $18 per hour, with opportunities to earn $22 per hour for high school algebra I session series. Key Responsibilities Tutor students virtually in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, using our online platform and tools. Review and familiarize yourself with provided lesson materials and curriculum. Build relationships with students located across the United States and provide consistent support to help them achieve their academic goals. Indicate your availability to tutor and commit to a schedule that works best for you and our students. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge. Requirements and Qualifications Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity (e.g., teaching, tutoring, mentoring). Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability from 8am-9am EST, 3-4 days a week. Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills. A high comfort level with online virtual tools and technology, including desktop or laptop, Chrome browser, video camera, and reliable/stable internet connection. Bachelor's degree preferred, but college students with 1+ years of relevant experience are welcome to apply. Residency in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii required. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience with math education and curriculum. Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
