Position at a Glance: Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: Delta Air Lines Location: Remote Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package Position: Tool Room Attendant Key Responsibilities: Maintain and organize extensive inventory of tools and equipment used in aircraft maintenance and repair Ensure all tools and equipment are properly labeled and stored in designated locations Keep accurate records of tool usage, including tracking when tools are being used and returned Conduct regular inventory checks and order replacement tools and equipment as needed Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any damaged or malfunctioning items to the appropriate team Adhere to strict protocols and guidelines for tool usage and storage to ensure safety and compliance Communicate effectively with various teams to understand their tool needs and provide timely assistance Collaborate with maintenance technicians to identify any missing or misplaced tools and locate them in a timely manner Utilize strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair tools and equipment as needed Follow proper safety procedures to handle and store hazardous materials and chemicals used in the tool room Maintain a clean and organized tool room at all times Keep up-to-date records of tool maintenance and repairs Assist in training new tool room attendants and provide support to other team members as needed Continuously seek opportunities to improve tool room processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices related to tool room management Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., aviation, mechanical technology) preferred 2+ years of experience in a tool room or inventory management role, preferably in the aviation industry Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair tools and equipment Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inventory management software and systems Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and standards Certification in tool room management or a related field Experience working in a team environment and leading or training others Skills and Competencies: Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Organizational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Delta Air Lines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
