About API League and Engineer Experience API Organization and Engineer Experience build the unified GraphQL framework and productivity tools that power product APIs across blithequark. We help blithequark engineers build the GraphQL APIs that make their applications run: from enterprise applications used by our production studio to create, launch, and promote our global content, to the applications that stream that content to your TV. Our Team's Mission Our team strives to facilitate collaboration and cooperation across blithequark through clear agreements and a robust runtime. We aim to provide our customers with systems that are scalable, documented, observable, and easy to operate. We are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer to help us onboard and support many internal designing customers onto our Unified GraphQL ecosystem. This includes both proactive support of customers moving to GraphQL, as well as being available to work on support during business hours, writing excellent documentation for our internal partners, and helping guide the team's engineering needs to increase customer satisfaction and improve the developer ergonomics of our products. About the Job This job will require you to work with a large and diverse set of partners who rely on our products to build software every day. You will need to dive into issues and troubleshoot collaboratively, compose excellent documentation, balance the needs of our home engineering team and the needs of our customers, and multitask while juggling a lot of context. This position will be around 50% support and enablement with our internal customers and 50% working on documentation, engineer tooling, and other strategic investments to empower our customers and lower our active support and enablement load. Key Responsibilities: Work with a huge and diverse set of partners who rely on our products to build software every day Dive into issues and troubleshoot collaboratively Compose excellent documentation (we believe "it's not done if it's not documented") Balance the needs of our home engineering team and the needs of our customers Multitask while juggling a lot of context What You'll Need to Succeed: To be successful in this role, you will need: Solid knowledge of GraphQL (extra points for Apollo League) A combination of the following work experience: 3+ years of experience with second-line technical support for enterprise software products OR 3+ years in technical solutions engineering OR 3+ years of engineering developer-facing products Excellent technical writing skills Troubleshooting and debugging skills A customer-centric mindset Java and/or JVM ecosystem experience is a plus What We Offer: Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we don't have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your own top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific work family, background, skills, and experience to determine your pay in the market range. The range for this job is $100,000 - $720,000. blithequark provides comprehensive benefits, including Health Plans, Mental health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Illness Benefits. We also offer paid time away programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time. Full-time salaried employees are immediately eligible for flexible downtime.
