About the Role: Technical Program Manager III, Cybersecurity, Google Cloud We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager III to join our team of industrial operation and maintenance experts, who are chartered to innovate, design, and standardize mission-critical systems, policies, and tools to enable high availability, efficiency management, and operational productivity across Google's data center facilities worldwide. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain switches and networking infrastructure below PMS/BMS switches, including firmware updates, replacement/upgrade program lifecycles, and support improvements to systems and tools (e.g., new network sensing tools) with stakeholder teams. Utilize asset management/inventory tracking, owning and being accountable for inventory freshness, asset criticality, and collaborations with spare parts inventory teams. Ensure disaster recovery readiness (e.g., enforcing up-to-date and tested system/device backups) and support new hires with training and onboarding to recovery tools and systems. Lead or contribute to complex ICS projects and efforts focused on infrastructure and operational improvements, and automation (e.g., automated updates tools/scripting, development of monitoring tools and dashboards, etc.). Participate in on-call rotation for ICS incidents and act as coordinators or local incident commanders under the instruction of Security Engineering and overall incident commander. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in data center program management. Experience working in cybersecurity vulnerability management, network or system administration, or industrial control room operations. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 2 years of experience in network engineering, asset configuration management, or cybersecurity engineering. Experience in power, water, or gas utilities, nuclear engineering, Oil and Gas industries, water purification, telecommunications, military service, or other critical infrastructure management. Experience working in virtualized server environments, Windows and Linux, bash shell scripting. Knowledge of basic process controls and related equipment (e.g., PLCs, Controllers, RIO, Protection Relays, Power Meters, etc.). Skills and Competencies Required for Success: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be equally comfortable explaining technical analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible for a wide range of perks and benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
