Position Overview As a Teacher Assistant/Tutor at Workwarp, you will work closely with our certified teachers to provide individualized support to students in a remote learning environment. Your expertise and enthusiasm will help reinforce skills taught by teachers, facilitate a love of learning, and promote academic excellence. Key Responsibilities Student Support: Work directly with students to reinforce skills taught by certified teachers, providing individualized and small group instruction as needed. Lesson Preparation: Assist teachers with preparing lesson materials, resources, and unit packets to ensure seamless delivery of instruction. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and organized learning environment, supporting students with their assignments and activities. Communication: Effectively communicate with teachers, students, and parents through written and oral communication, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying current on best practices in education. Assessment and Evaluation: Assist teachers with assessing student progress, identifying areas of need, and developing strategies for improvement. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assignments, using our online tracking system. Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or 48 semester hours at an institution of higher education preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students. Technical Skills: Familiarity with educational software and technology, including online learning platforms and tracking systems. Certifications: Passing score on the ACT WorkKeys or equivalent assessment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Teaching Experience: Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, either as a teacher or teaching assistant. Special Education: Experience working with students with special needs or English language learners. Technology Integration: Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms, including learning management systems.
