About the Role The Student Success Coach plays a pivotal role in assisting students throughout their education program with blithequark. As a coach, you will be the mentor who helps students overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and work towards becoming lifelong learners. Your primary responsibilities will include speaking with students over the phone, responding to inquiries, and providing timely support to ensure a quality learning experience. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience. Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program with proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students can share their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on utilizing resources to maximize student success and become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support. Act as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support they need. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, as well as the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with academic support software and technology. Certification in resume writing or career development. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning needs.
