**Responsibilities**

As a Student Loan Advisor, you'll be responsible for:

* Responding to customer inquiries regarding student loans via phone, chat, and email
* Providing detailed information and processing applications for student loans
* Resolving emerging problems that customer accounts may face with accuracy and efficiency
* Practicing active listening and communicating clearly and professionally with customers
* Following established policies and standard operating procedures during customer interactions
* Documenting calls and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
* Utilize pre-scripted responses and provide accurate information to customers
* Navigate complex customer situations with empathy and understanding
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall service
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and document calls

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to practice active listening and demonstrate empathy towards customers
* Familiarity with standard technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers
* Ability to navigate pre-scripted responses and provide accurate information to customers
* Understanding of ethical and privacy rules related to customer service

**Essential Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or call center environments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Familiarity with customer service software and technology

* Experience in student loan processes and regulations
* Knowledge of financial aid and student loan policies
