Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network environment, including configuring, testing, monitoring, and documenting network equipment and systems. You will work closely with field engineers to implement installations and provide technical support, as well as diagnose and resolve reported network issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain the network environment by configuring, testing, monitoring, and documenting network equipment and systems according to design and specifications required by Wells Fargo. Collaborate with field engineers to implement installations and provide all necessary technical support. Answer orders and service tickets, participate in outage calls, diagnose and resolve reported network issues, and maintain records to follow Wells Fargo procedures. Identify gaps, risks, and problems and navigate the organizational structure to solve them, adhering to Wells Fargo's best practices, operating procedures, and guidelines. Apply knowledge of networking, security, and configuration policies to design and implement seamless network solutions, providing feedback and working with other team members to conduct impact assessments. Develop a comprehensive plan and framework for change management review and approval, collaborating with other product development teams to continuously improve and enforce standards and policies necessary for operational excellence. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: 2+ years of network engineering experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience through a combination of work experience, training, and/or military experience. 2+ years of experience working with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. 2+ years of experience with switch technologies and standards such as RSTP, 801.Q, and 801.X. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or engineering. Professional certification in CCNP - Routing and Switching or other relevant certifications. Advanced experience in SDWAN, MPLS, and E-Line technologies. Knowledge of network automation tools and Python scripting. Basic knowledge of voice communication protocol (SIP) and wireless communication principles. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a large-scale network environment. Knowledge of network security principles and practices. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess: Strong technical skills in network engineering, including routing, switching, and network security. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
