Job Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist at careerzynith, you will play a critical role in driving the development of our safety data science group. You will lead a team of full-stack data scientists, perform active execution, and create a top-notch safety data warehouse and tools to provide customized solutions and meet a wide range of evolving needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in showcasing the impact of safety and unlocking growth in protecting good users from bad experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand data user requirements to design data pipelines and tooling, collaborating with partners including safety data scientists, implementation, product, and engineering teams, trust and security strategy, and legal
• Own and improve metric reporting, metric validation, and new metric development for careerzynith's transparency reporting and regulatory reporting
• Review and revamp existing data warehouse with a focus on improving data quality, data integrity, and pipeline visibility
• Increase the safety data science team's efficiency through automation, ETL strategies, and agile processes
• Collaborate with extensive data science teams in building shared data systems and tooling
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Python proficiency and strong SQL skills
• 4+ years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, process, and support)
• 4+ years of non-internship professional experience building clean, efficient, object-oriented code (Python preferred) in a production environment
• Experience as a database administrator or architect with large-scale data warehouse systems like Google BigQuery
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:
• Experience with Airflow or similar data/ETL tools in a production environment
• Experience in public/administrative metric reporting
