Job Highlights Compensation: Competitive salary of $24/hour Location: Remote work opportunity, with the flexibility to work from anywhere Start Date: Immediate openings available, with the opportunity to start right away Position: Senior Data Engineer, with a focus on developing AI-powered solutions Company: Walmart, a leading retailer with a commitment to innovation and technology Key Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the development of data pipelines in both on-premise systems and in Google Cloud Platform, ensuring compliance with security standards and privacy policies. You'll work closely with application specialists and data scientists to define the requirements for the data products that the team creates, and develop and maintain data diagrams and dictionaries. Additionally, you'll build data infrastructure and data quality checking processes, and ensure the stability of the big data framework. You'll also need experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly DataProc and Google Cloud Storage, as well as experience with the Apache Spark ecosystem and Apache Airflow. Additionally, you'll need experience with Shell scripting and Linux operating system, as well as proficiency in Python and Javascript/Node.js.
