Key Responsibilities Develop large-scale data architectures and pipelines to organize, collect, and normalize data, generating insights and addressing reporting needs. Design and implement ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, database systems, and tools for real-time and offline analytical processing. Collaborate with the data science team to integrate data, algorithms, and models into digital processes, driving business outcomes and growth. Utilize cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Apply strong programming skills in Python or other major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Develop data warehouses and data models to support data science and other internal clients, integrating data from various sources and ensuring adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current data technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities, recommending solutions and improvements. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to determine the optimal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case. Essential Qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data architecture, pipeline development, and data science collaboration. 5+ years of experience with SQL, including data modeling, database design, and query optimization. 5+ years of experience with Python, including data processing, machine learning, and data visualization. Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including data storage, processing, and analytics. Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark, including data processing, storage, and analytics. Experience with reporting tools (Tableau), including data visualization, dashboard development, and storyboarding. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including data standards, regulations, and trends.
