Position Overview

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time employee (FTE). As a Senior Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for handling inbound customer calls related to life insurance policies. You'll work from the comfort of your home office, but must be located within 50 miles of our Oriskany, NY office location. This hybrid approach allows you to enjoy the flexibility of remote work while still having access to in-person support when needed.

The pay rate for this position ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, and you'll be eligible for various benefits and perks as part of the arenaflex family. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your daily responsibilities will include:


Responding to customer inquiries via telephone with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy. You'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with their life insurance policies.
Assisting with life insurance enrollment and changes to coverage amounts. You'll guide customers through the process, answering their questions and ensuring they understand their options.
Confirming or updating beneficiary information with precision and attention to detail. This is a critical task that requires accuracy and confidentiality.
Explaining policy provisions including how policies work, whether coverage reduces with age, what's covered, exclusions, and other important details. You'll need to be well-versed in policy terminology to provide clear explanations.
Guiding customers on continuing coverage when they retire or leave their employer. You'll help them understand their options for maintaining life insurance protection.
Providing status updates on customer requests and processing transactions efficiently.
Handling billing inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns customers may have.
Preparing correspondence and documentation as needed to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Following established guidelines and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance in all interactions.
Reporting to the arenaflex office when necessary to resolve technical issues or attend in-person meetings.


Work Schedule and Availability

We operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST, and we need our team to be flexible. Shifts may vary based on business needs, and schedules after training will be determined using a ranking system based on your training performance. This means your dedication and performance during the training period will directly impact your schedule preferences.

Training and Development

You'll receive weekly behavior ratings throughout training so you can track your progress and identify areas for improvement. This feedback loop ensures you're set up for success both during training and in your ongoing role.

Technical and Workplace Requirements

To thrive in this remote role, you'll need to meet the following technical and environmental requirements:


Quiet and secure work environment: You must be able to take calls in a private, distraction-free space that meets security standards.
Reliable high-speed internet: A connection speed of 500-650 kbps is required. Hotspots and Wi-Fi are not permitted due to reliability and security concerns.
Proximity to Oriskany office: You must reside within 50 miles of the Oriskany, NY office location.
Video capability: You'll need to use video during interviews, coaching sessions, and virtual training.
Technical adaptability: You must be comfortable reporting to the arenaflex office when technical issues arise that cannot be resolved remotely.


arenaflex will provide all necessary equipment, including a laptop, two monitors, keyboard, mouse, and docking station. You'll be responsible for returning all equipment to arenaflex within one week of your assignment ending.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required
1-3 years of experience in customer service or a related field
Ability to work under immediate supervision and follow instructions
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new systems


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a call center environment
Familiarity with insurance products, especially life insurance
Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
Ability to handle high-volume calls with patience and professionalism
