Job Overview The SAP Basis Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP systems and applications. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SAP infrastructure, as well as providing expert support and guidance to our business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, SAP GRC, and Solution Manager Perform system updates, patches, and installations of SAP software components Conduct AIX operating system upgrades, patches, and installations Perform routine system administration tasks, such as user copy, system copy, user export/import, and system refresh Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and performance Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for transporting changes between SAP systems Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems Design and manage interfaces and integration between SAP and non-SAP systems Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning measures to enhance system performance Maintain accurate documentation of SAP system configurations, procedures, and standards Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies (SOX, PCI, Corporate, etc.) Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience as a SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar role with 7+ years of experience in a medium to large-sized organization Demonstrated expertise in SAP installation, configuration, and administration SAP certifications are a plus Exceptional DB2 and AIX skills and knowledge In-depth understanding of SAP technologies, architecture, and components Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to continuously improve processes by implementing automation whenever possible Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support activities Strong commitment to maintaining system security and data integrity Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, and SAP GRC Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management best practices Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions Certifications in SAP Basis Administration, SAP HANA, or related areas Strong understanding of business processes and functional areas (Sales, HR, Finance, etc.) Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
