Experienced Safety Analyst for Sun Country Airlines - Remote Data Entry Specialist (Part-Time, Work-from-Home Opportunity)

As a Safety Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Safety department by processing reports, gathering data, generating reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating incidents, and collaborating on special projects. As a Safety Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to manage the development and implementation of SMS data collection systems and other processes that optimize procedures and systems used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Key Responsibilities Acts as project subject matter expert for Safety Programs Collaborates with Safety Department Managers regarding safety activities Review, process, and analyze all reports received via the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue) Analyze technical data from hazards, incidents, and occurrences, and identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Acts as safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and heightened risk areas of operations Track, analyze, and interpret data outputs from the Company's safety programs Assist with the management of the company databases for the purpose of improved airline safety Assist the Safety Team in any necessary investigations Provide technical knowledge to Management regarding data models, database design development, and data mining Prepare relevant reports and communicate safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS) Assist with the development, implementation, and management of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) Will act as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, oversee aircraft data collection, perform FOQA data analysis, and trend identification Maintains FOQA Database and ensures organizational compliance with FOQA guidelines Assist with the continuous improvement of the risk identification and safety risk assessment schemes of the Company Prepare studies research regarding aviation safety trends Any other duties assigned by management Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: Knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP) Operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance Knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum equipment lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, risk management, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion Basic knowledge of Crew Resource Management principles and aviation human factors Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products Excellent writing skills, including report writing, document writing, and correspondence with government agencies Excellent verbal, presentation, and educational skills Strong technical and data analysis skills; Ability to perform statistical analysis and audits Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field Previous experience in airline operations FAA aircraft dispatcher, pilot, and/or A&P certificate What We Offer Sun Country Airlines offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Dental and vision coverage PPO and high deductible health plans Health savings accounts (HSA and FSA) Dependent Care Starting day one free standby and discounted travel privileges for employees, family, and friends 401(k) match Paid Time Off Paid holidays Life and AD&D Insurance Employee Assistance Program, including counseling for employees and their family Fitness incentive and Stop Smoking Support Company Culture and Values Sun Country Airlines respects and values each employee's contribution to our business.
