Key Responsibilities As a Resource Security Chief, your primary responsibilities will include: • Upholding the Store Administration group in accomplishing organizational targets by managing all Resource Security projects and initiatives within the store • Keeping partners, clients, and the store safe by preventing external theft and minimizing exposure to loss and fraud • Coordinating with law enforcement, insurance experts, and other retailers to identify and create extensive case files for repeat external theft culprits • Supporting the District Asset Protection Manager(s) by conducting awareness training, root cause analysis, and risk assessments • Leading ongoing product security training, ensuring timely completion of certification programs, and assisting with all new hire training and in-depth training for specific positions • Conducting weekly data analysis to evaluate and cover trends to store management and DAPM • Assisting the General Manager with planning, preparing, and executing the annual inventory External and Internal Theft Identification and Mitigation Your responsibilities will also include: • Detecting, investigating, and documenting internal and external theft, and other violations of law and/or company policy • Administering case development and disposition, and effectively managing multiple case files • Monitoring for signs of external and internal loss and reporting all conditions or incidents to the District Asset Protection Manager • Utilizing covert equipment within company policy • Proactively monitoring controls and conducting local and remote surveillance to detect possible unscrupulous activity - internal and external • Using retail exception reporting tools and cash over/short reports to identify and respond to unusual or suspicious activity and training opportunities Physical Security and Safety You will be responsible for: • Conducting store asset protection assessments to ensure compliance with company processes and legal requirements • Ensuring compliance with physical structure security, including key control, monthly alarm tests, alarm call response, and store alarm call list maintenance • Ensuring the safety and security of associates, customers, and property per local regulations, including off-site and outside storage areas • Maintaining vendor and company certifications required to assess/conduct services, staying informed on current OSHA regulations relevant to the store environment, and ensuring store compliance • Ensuring all necessary licenses and permits related to areas of responsibility are current and working with appropriate departments to renew before expiration Talent and Team Development Your responsibilities will include: • Recruiting, hiring, and staffing a team of professional and effective asset protection associates • Conducting new hire orientation and physical security manager store walks • Creating weekly team schedules to ensure adequate coverage of the facility at all times • Developing and delivering team performance reviews • Training all store associates and managers on company safety and security programs to ensure compliance • Training all Asset Protection associates and creating development plans • Building cross-functional relationships with all store leadership Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: • Several years of asset protection experience • Several years of management experience required • A bachelor's degree preferred • WZ or CFI certification preferred • Experience in a multi-unit or large box Asset Protection manager capacity required • A flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, and some holidays) required • Ability to form strong relationships with associates required Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wayfair, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
