Job Overview
We are looking for motivated and skilled Software Engineers to join our team on a remote basis. As a Software Engineer at Disney, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and stable software systems. You will work closely with our team of engineers to build and integrate metadata and work platforms for our streaming services, ensuring seamless delivery of content to our users. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain software systems using a collaborative development approach
Build high-performance, stable, and scalable software systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting
Participate in high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions to ensure alignment with project goals
Contribute to the code review process by providing feedback on pull requests and ensuring high-quality code
Participate in on-call rotation, supporting systems and services during production incidents


Required Qualifications and Skills

Self-learner with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
Experience with at least one programming language, preferably Java, Typescript, C++, or JavaScript
Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and concepts
Familiarity with RESTful services and understanding of source control principles using Git
Knowledge of data persistence technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases
Exposure to build and deployment tools, such as Jenkins and Docker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study, and/or equivalent work experience


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, Kinesis, Postgres, and DynamoDB
Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
Strong understanding of security principles and practices, with experience in securing software systems and data
