Job Overview: Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist
We're looking for a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our 3rd Shift team in Columbus, OH, as a Data Entry Specialist. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations. As a Remote Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for entering new orders, maintaining customer information, generating labels, and performing various other tasks that support our pharmacists and the overall operation of our pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Enter new orders accurately and efficiently for staff pharmacist review.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information in our systems.
Generate labels for dispensing medications to patients.
Answer phones and respond to order inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Clarify orders as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Triage incoming faxes and manage them according to our operational procedures.
Utilize knowledge of SIG-Codes and pharmaceuticals to perform tasks effectively.
Demonstrate quick and accurate typing skills, with the ability to work independently.
Essential Qualifications
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of brand names and generic medications.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Multi-tasking and reliability are essential for success in this role.
Proficiency in SIG-Codes and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology.
Quick typing skills and computer literacy are required.
Familiarity with Frameworks LTC system and PLUS is preferred.
