A Day in the Role As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibility will be to process various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. You will work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion. Your duties will include: Extracting data from medical documents and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word Handling incoming cases and ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date Using critical thinking skills to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment and meeting productivity standards Providing excellent customer service and client coordination over the phone Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have: At least 1 year of remote work experience A High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred Reliable high-speed internet and a computer or laptop (no Chromebooks) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Essential Qualifications In addition to the requirements listed above, the ideal candidate will have: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in the healthcare industry Knowledge of medical terminology and coding Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) Certification in medical billing or coding Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
