Job Overview This part-time, entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to work with a fast-paced and team-oriented customs brokerage team. As a Data Entry Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, understanding and identifying customs documentation, and providing excellent customer service to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally. With a strong focus on compliance, organizational skills, and attention to detail, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our team. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Understand and identify customs documentation, including the ability to transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system. Verify documents received for Import customs purposes are compliant and correct, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally, and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Ensure compliance at all times to regulations, company policies, and industry standards, and participate in daily execution of workflow and department metrics. Collaborate with the customs brokerage team to achieve team goals and objectives, and contribute to the development of process improvements and efficiencies. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, skills, and personal qualities that align with our company culture and values. The ideal candidate will have: An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills, including solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A growth mindset, with a desire to learn and develop your skills, and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
