Job Overview
The Data Entry Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate and consistent data across various systems and platforms. Primary Responsibilities

Pull and gather data from relevant computer and electronic systems, software applications, and online data sources
Collect data from reference manuals and other relevant sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
Review and verify collected data to ensure information is accurate and complete, seeking clarifications or corrections as needed
Prioritize and assign data entry or report requests to the appropriate personnel, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Manually enter and scan relevant data using applicable systems or programs, reviewing entered data to identify errors or discrepancies
Perform audits of submitted data entries and provide feedback to team members to ensure ongoing quality and accuracy
Facilitate corrections to incorrect data entry and escalate challenging problems to management as needed
Generate and run reports to verify, correct, and update information, identifying potential errors or discrepancies
Adhere to internal workflows, business rules, policies, and procedures, demonstrating understanding of relevant computer systems and platforms
Utilize relevant software applications, such as Excel, Word, and SharePoint, to perform tasks and stay abreast of changes to workflows and procedures


Essential Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required
3+ years of data entry experience in a corporate or business setting, managed healthcare, hospital, or insurance environment
Demonstrated proficiency in data collection, entry, and reporting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel


Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field
Solid data management experience, preferably within managed care, referral management, patient appointing, and/or patient administration functions
Excellent data mining, analytical, and reporting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills


Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
