**Program Details**
The program will run from January 13th, 2025, to April 15th, 2025, with a preference given to Service Providers (SPs) who can commit and work all 14 weeks of the program. As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the flexibility to choose your schedule. During peak periods, you will be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
**Responsibilities**
As a Remote Customer Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing exceptional customer support via phone, email, and chat
* Resolving customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Collaborating with product experts to deliver accurate and helpful solutions
* Utilizing active listening skills to understand customer needs and concerns
* Developing and sustaining productive customer relationships
* Working in a fast-paced environment and handling change well
* Promoting a positive work environment and team player attitude
* Thriving in a training environment that includes watching self-paced training module videos
* Staying up-to-date on changes to the product and changes that occur within tax season
* Stepping in as needed to answer questions from customers via chat
**Requirements**
To be successful as a Remote Customer Support Specialist, you will need to possess:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to display empathy with customers over the phone
* Intermediate level of knowledge in relevant operating systems and software environment
* Experience with software troubleshooting abilities
* Ability to modify communication style to meet customer needs and tone
* Customer service skills
* Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas to customers
* Ability to diffuse situations with angry customers
* Comfortable working in a training environment that includes watching self-paced training module videos
* Commitment to staying up-to-date on changes to the product and changes that occur within tax season
* Ability to work extra shifts when needed
* Comfortable being on camera with customers and understanding the value of humanizing the interaction
* Active listening skills and ability to ask probing questions to arrive at answers quicker
**Preferred Qualifications**
* High School graduate
* Basic knowledge of tax laws and tax concepts
* Experience providing support in a call center environment and comfortable using chat if necessary
