With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, we're constantly seeking talented individuals who share our passion for making a difference in people's lives. **Key Responsibilities** As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for: * Obtaining current patient information from established and new patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness in our scheduling system. * Identifying payer sources and verifying insurance eligibility to ensure seamless billing and payment processes. * Assisting patients with completion of paperwork when necessary, providing clear guidance and support throughout the process. * Reviewing the Scheduling System for needed updated demographics and consent forms, scheduling appointments, and rescheduling as needed. * Identifying patients by date of birth and name in our computer system, creating new accounts when necessary, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. * Demonstrating superior customer service skills, answering telephone calls in a timely and polite manner, and communicating with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative, and mature manner. * Taking messages and conveying accurate information to recipients, transferring calls to physicians and nurses when medically indicated, and protecting patient confidentiality per policies and procedures. * Importing registration documents into patients' electronic health records, following up on outstanding A/R, and resolving issues or changes to achieve client profitability. * Handling all correspondence related to insurance or patient accounts, contacting insurance carriers, patients, and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes. * Working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits, and rejection reports. **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. * 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and resolve issues efficiently. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality care. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare policies and procedures. * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS). * Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)). * Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds. **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and resolve issues efficiently. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality care. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately and efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and careers.
