Experienced Remote Customer Service and Sales Representative - Retention Specialist for a Leading Smart Home Security Provider

About the Role In this Remote Customer Service/Sales Representative role, you'll be a Retention Specialist who plays a critical part in the growth of our organization. Your primary goal will be to retain customers who want to cancel their services by providing award-winning customer experiences, identifying opportunities, and recommending long-term solutions. You'll handle a high volume of incoming calls, act as an expert problem solver, and leverage your sales experience to persuade and upsell customers while reducing frustration and displeasure. Key Responsibilities Utilize customer service and sales experience daily to retain customers and increase brand loyalty Save the business by re-selling customers on the value of blithequark's services and what matters most to them Handle back-to-back calls with care, empathy, and professionalism to ensure the best customer experience Use attention to detail, active listening, and problem-solving skills to uncover customer issues and concerns Leverage exceptional de-escalation skills to resolve difficult customer situations and provide multiple offers to meet their needs Retain long-term business for blithequark through customer service commitments and provide the right solutions to save customers Consistently improve performance and achieve goals through ongoing training and development Maintain knowledge of blithequark's policies, products, services, and systems, as well as the wireless industry and competitive landscape Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ years of experience in a sales role, with a focus on customer retention and sales performance 2+ years of call center customer service/sales experience, with a proven track record of success High school diploma, GED, college degree, or some college experience Ability to work with numerous screens and programs open to resolve customer issues Experience interpreting contracts and communicating terms and conditions Strong active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a retention or sales role, with a focus on customer loyalty and retention Knowledge of the smart home security industry and competitive landscape Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other sales tools Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
