About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative III to join our team, providing Medicaid member support and acting as a team lead for peer agents. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for handling escalations, providing one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees, and accurately documenting enrollment requests and status changes. Your excellent customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of program policies will enable you to provide clear, complete, and accurate information to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as escalations for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program Recipients and Affiliates
Act as team lead for peer agents, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service
Provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles
Accurately document enrollment requests and status changes
Enter application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone
Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in the Medicaid rules/guidelines and other related program policies
Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements


Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a basic understanding of a call center environment in a customer service role and quality monitoring processes. You should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers, and have the ability to problem-solve through analysis and ongoing feedback. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process. You must reside within 1 hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA, and have reliable internet access.
