Key Responsibilities As a Remote Adjunct Faculty member, your key responsibilities will include: Course Delivery: Conduct assigned courses within the Pharmacy Technician program, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education in pharmacy technology. Live Sessions: Facilitate engaging bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom for each course, providing students with opportunities to interact with you and their peers. Office Hours and Student Meetings: Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate office hours and individual student meetings, ensuring personalized support and guidance. Assessment and Feedback: Provide prompt and constructive feedback on assessments, quizzes, and projects, guiding students in their learning journey and helping them to achieve their academic goals. Student Support: Actively engage with at-risk students to offer mentorship and support, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve academic success. Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of student performance, including progress and attendance, and submit final grades in accordance with university policies. Professional Development: Participate in faculty meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching methodologies and stay current with industry trends. Other Duties: Execute other duties as assigned in alignment with faculty responsibilities and university guidelines. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: Education: An Associate degree in a health-related field is preferred. Certification: PTCB Certification is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on pharmacy technician experience is required; experience with sterile compounding is advantageous. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential for success in this role. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships in both individual and group settings, are critical for success. Technical Skills: Proficiency in virtual tools and software such as MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, and more is required. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Online Teaching Experience: Previous online teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
