As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time, while also providing outstanding customer service. Job Overview and Key Responsibilities In this entry-level position, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where no two days are ever the same. As a Ramp Agent, your daily tasks will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions to ensure timely connections. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure that baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow, and to perform repetitive tasks such as loading and stacking bags weighing up to 50-70 pounds. Our team is committed to practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, and you will be expected to adhere to these standards at all times. Scheduling and Work Environment Scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts can range from early morning to overnight. You can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. A valid driver's license. Proficiency in English. Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT). Willingness to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You should also be able to consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data, and be able to embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
