Job Overview The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst will play a crucial role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the Quality Control department. This will be achieved by identifying statistical trends and performance metrics to improve the overall quality control process. The successful candidate will assist in utilizing data to develop, present, and implement novel ideas and initiatives, as well as perform in-depth analysis to mitigate the risk of non-compliance through process enhancements. Key Responsibilities Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in timely data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements. Assist in creating and communicating results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders and leaders. Help analyze ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging support issues and provide insightful responses to enable senior management to make informed business decisions while balancing existing project commitments. Presentation of insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding. Assist in creating and distributing specific queries to pull and organize data from various sources, establishing the frequency, and validating the necessity of the data requirements. Identify irregularities in processes through audits and convey findings to the team. Evaluate the effectiveness of processes and techniques by monitoring for trends and anomalies. Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the center of every decision. May perform other work duties as directed by the team leader. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze critical amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and convey ideas in writing, verbally, or through presentations to groups of varying audiences. Ability to assess business issues, identify opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, being highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning. Experience with PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred. Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework are highly valued. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be an independent self-starter. Past internship experience in a related field is preferred. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Ability to plan and support large business initiatives. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: Advanced degree in a related field, such as data science, statistics, or business analytics. Experience working in a quality control or data analysis role, preferably in the private industry. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100. Experience with data mining, machine learning, or predictive analytics. Certification in data analysis, quality control, or a related field, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
