As an Experienced Proofreader & Customer Representative Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
### Proofreading and Editing
* Review and proofread written and digital content, including marketing materials, internal documents, emails, press releases, and website text, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
* Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, and brand voice errors.
* Collaborate with the editing team to ensure consistent and accurate content across all media and industries.
### Cross-Checking and Verification
* Verify the accuracy of referenced facts, dates, pages, values, and cross-referenced materials.
* Maintain source and reference logs to support your work.
* Conduct research to resolve questions or issues in the copy.
### Consistency and Brand Voice
* Review content for consistency with company-wide work and brand voice.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent and accurate content across all media and industries.
### Team Collaboration and Process Improvement
* Attend team meetings and provide constructive editorial input.
* Communicate with team members to effectuate consistent, accurate, and high-quality work product.
* Suggest process improvements and evaluate changes to create efficiencies.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in proofreading, editing, or a related field.
* Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in proofreading symbols and digital content management software.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
