Job Summary The Production Supervisor is a critical role that ensures efficient and safe practices are followed by each member of the production team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for adhering to the plant schedule, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading your team to achieve exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Analyze data to determine appropriate corrective action responses for MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), Minor Stops, and establish root-cause analysis. Staff, train, evaluate, and develop production team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and production downtime to optimize productivity and minimize waste. Manage labor and operations within the OPEX budget to ensure cost-effective operations. Monitor the production process, making periodic checks and adjustments to equipment or practices according to standard operating procedures. Ensure all equipment is operating safely and in appropriate working order, and verify the readiness of the production line at start-up. Oversee shift and/or product line changeovers, and adjust product schedules to accommodate business needs. Manage overall packaging and product quality to ensure required standards and specifications are achieved. Practice flexibility with personal scheduling, including the ability to work on occasional weekends during peak season, and shift on days, nights, and weekends as needed to meet customer demands. Operate a forklift and other manufacturing equipment on occasion, and maintain a regular presence on the production floor to oversee the production line and its employees. Partner with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and logistics departments to achieve KBI goals and lead the improvement effort in production to achieve set goals for increased engagement with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required, with a Bachelor's Degree or Technical Certification preferred. Minimum of three years of work experience required, with a minimum of two years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the beverage or consumer goods sector. Prior experience supervising or managing employees in an operations environment, with strong leadership, coaching, and development skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with team members, with a strong understanding of LEAN principles, including Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Mapping, and Continuous Improvement Process. Working knowledge of LEAN tools and methodologies, such as 5S, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and Kaizen. Experience leading production teams in Six-Sigma approaches to problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Analytical thought process and problem-solving skills, with the ability to train on LEAN methodologies. Prior experience managing an operations and labor budget, with strong computer application skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP. Preferred Qualifications Experience with TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing) and AM (Autonomous Maintenance) Pillar Tools, including CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate), SOC (Source of Contamination), RCO (Rapid Changeover), CL (Centerlines), and HTR (Hard to Reach). Demonstrated understanding of how to apply the DMAIC model (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) for problem-solving procedures. Prior experience using a forklift, with the ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire.
