Your key responsibilities will include: • Collaborating with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies according to standard procedures and physician prescriptions • Participating in Performance Improvement plans to drive quality and excellence in patient care • Consulting with and advising Administration, Medical Staff, and hospital staff on quality, regulatory, and risk issues • Serving as a consultant to clinical and Medical Staff, providing expert guidance on pharmaceutical matters • Assisting the Director in coordinating and implementing Pharmacy activities • Interpreting medication orders, compounding, and dispensing medications in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards • Supervising technical support staff and contributing to clinical, quality management, and education programs • Providing support to various departments in caring for patients across different age groups, including geriatric populations • Performing clinical duties such as renal dosing, drug regimen review, and monitoring anticoagulant and antibiotic therapy Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must possess: • A degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy • A current state license in good standing • A minimum of three months of experience in hospital pharmacy • Preferred qualifications include a Pharm D or residency • Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA, and state guidelines • Experience in facilitating teams and writing policies and procedures We are looking for individuals with a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
