Job Overview
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Architect - IT Security to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our Network Security Risk and Compliance (CSR) division, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that all enterprise-class technology solutions are implemented and maintained in accordance with security best practices and organizational requirements. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary of $75,000 per year and the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about innovation and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

Champion, design, and implement processes and technology related to data security, including security analysis and Blue/Purple team exercises across the entire organization
Collaborate with IT groups, Network Security Groups, and Risk Management teams to identify and prioritize risk areas, and assist in implementing suitable controls
Provide subject matter expertise to various IT groups, Network Security Groups, and Risk Management teams
Identify and recognize potential areas where existing security policies and procedures require modification, or where new ones should be developed, particularly with regard to future business growth
Ensure that security policies of critical systems are properly implemented, monitored, and reported
Conduct risk assessments in new and existing technologies, and provide data risk management consulting to technology teams
Evaluate and recommend security software/hardware and its application
Establish alternative security measures as needed to support audit findings, known vulnerabilities, or disaster recovery efforts
Ensure that technology teams are aware of security engineering and architecture projects that could be integrated into business solutions
Lead security investigations and provide forensic services in response to security incidents
Ensure compliance with local regulations, such as local encryption laws and security regulations
Support Risk Management team day-to-day operational tasks


Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a Bachelor's degree in Data Security or a related field, as well as a deep understanding of technology, operations, and key business processes. You should be proficient in critically developing portable programs that encompass individual devices, managed devices, and mobile applications, and be skilled in creating comprehensive strategies to enhance mobile security, improve device management, and mobile application guards.

Preferred Qualifications
While a Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, a Master's degree in Data Security or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications in related technical or business areas, such as Certified Master Mobile Security Professional (CEMP) or Credentialed Mobile Device Security Professional (CMDSP), are also highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in data risk management, content filtering technologies, application firewalls, vulnerability scanners, LDAP, forensic software, security incident response, federation services, catalog services, CASB, XaaS Security, and OWASP Top Ten. You should also be proficient in operating systems such as Linux (Red Hat, SUSE), Windows (2000/XP/2003 Server), and UNIX, as well as network technologies such as firewalls, proxy servers, reverse proxy servers, IPS, and SEIM.
