**Position Overview**
We're seeking a dedicated and caring PreK Learning Assistant to join our team in Chickamauga, Georgia, located just 20 minutes from Chattanooga, TN. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a general education setting with approximately 17 students, collaborating with a lead teacher and a second paraprofessional.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a PreK Learning Assistant, you'll be responsible for:
* Assisting with academic instruction and behavior management for PreK students
* Providing individualized support to students with special needs, including those with IEPs and developmental needs
* Helping implement IEP goals in a general education environment
* Creating an inclusive, patient, and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
* Assisting with classroom routines, hygiene, and learning materials
**What You'll Need**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Pending or active Georgia Paraprofessional Certification (GaPSC)
* Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
* Experience with PreK or students receiving special education services is preferred
* A caring, flexible attitude and strong classroom presence
