Job Overview: Physician Assistant at blithequark As a Physician Assistant at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of services. Key Responsibilities: Provide essential and family-centered care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and anticipatory guidance for our patients. Perform administrative duties, such as opening/closing the facility, inventory management, patient flow, insurance verification, and payment collection, maintaining a clean and organized environment. Take ownership of patient appointments and conduct steering assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes. Engage patients in healthy lifestyle choices, conduct diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive care plan. Empower patients to become active participants in their healthcare and well-being through services like health screenings, social determinants of health, and chronic condition management. Essential Qualifications: Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and anticipatory guidance for our patients. Order and administer vaccinations and injections (including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent immunization counseling and education. At least two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent. Complete the Spot certification test within 30 days of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including mouth-to-mouth and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires. Preferred Qualifications: If under 1 year of work experience as an authorized provider, prior student precepting rotation with blithequark is preferred, but not required. Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role. Or, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Graduate degree or equivalent experience along with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the role.
