Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for performing order entry tasks, collaborating with other team members in the medication dispensing process, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform order entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure timely processing Provide dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer Create and maintain accurate customer records Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a call center environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in the long-term care industry PTCB National Certification Verifiable High School Diploma or GED Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data entry and customer service software Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CVS Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
