About the Role: Pharmacy Technician As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health, you'll be an integral part of our pharmacy team, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications, managing inventory, and processing prescriptions Providing exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Maintaining accurate records, including patient information and medication profiles Operating pharmacy equipment, such as cash registers and computer systems Collaborating with pharmacists and other team members to ensure seamless pharmacy operations Key Responsibilities: Patient Care and Services Deliver compassionate and personalized care to patients, responding to their needs and concerns Assist pharmacists with patient counseling, medication therapy management, and disease state management Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications, including verifying patient information and medication orders Pharmacy Operations Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies Operate pharmacy equipment, including cash registers, computer systems, and automated dispensing systems Maintain accurate records, including patient information, medication profiles, and inventory levels Customer Service and Communication Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless pharmacy operations and exceptional patient experiences Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Valid pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB) or willingness to obtain certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Basic math skills, including calculating percentages and ratios Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related field (e.g., retail, healthcare, customer service) Experience with pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Skills and Competencies: Clinical Skills: Basic understanding of pharmacology and pharmacy operations Familiarity with medication management and disease state management Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals Technical Skills: Proficiency with pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email What We Offer: Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary of $26/hour Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth Work Environment and Culture: Dynamic and supportive work environment Collaborative and patient-focused culture Opportunities for learning and development Why Join CVS Health?
