- Answer phone calls and troubleshoot with nursing staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Adjudicate and troubleshoot rejected insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution and minimal delays
- Communicate effectively with the fill floor to process orders in a timely manner
- Accurately process prescriptions, calculate proper day supplies and quantities, and maintain accurate records
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations

**Essential Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (or equivalent) and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
- 2+ years' experience as a pharmacy technician (in any capacity, including retail, LTC, or hospital)
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately calculate prescriptions and quantities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Long Term Care (LTC) experience, particularly in billing and adjudication
