**Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

* **Customer Experience**
+ Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
+ Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
+ Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
* **Operations**
+ Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
+ Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items.
+ Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested.
+ Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
+ Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
* **Pharmacy Support**
+ Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
+ Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly.
+ Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
+ Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
+ Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
* **Additional Responsibilities**
+ Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist.
+ Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
+ Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.

**Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

* **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration preferred.
* **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, with a focus on customer service and patient care.
* **Skills**: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, customers, and healthcare professionals.
* **Certifications**: PTCB certification or state required certification/registration, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

**Preferred Qualifications**
