Experienced Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist – Surplus Lines Tax Compliance and Billing Platform Support

**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our team in the United States. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for data entry and filing Surplus Lines taxes, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with state requirements. You'll also provide technology support for our Billing Platform, working closely with internal users and external customers to deliver exceptional results.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Part-time Remote Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
* Generating and reviewing weekly insurance payables reports to identify policies that require filings
* Interfacing with Broker Assistants and Brokers to obtain information or forms required for state compliance, following up when necessary
* Ensuring Surplus Lines taxes and fees are entered correctly
* Entering, filing, and paying taxes with each state entity according to their requirements (e.g., state intranet site, SLIP systems, paper filings, etc.)
* Obtaining Surplus Lines Broker signatures and notary signatures
* Providing all documentation to accounting assistants for check or ACH issuance for payment of taxes to the states
* Providing information to accounting leaders for reconciliation purposes
* Maintaining PSR Surplus Lines tax intranet
* Generating various Excel reports
* Assisting profit center personnel as necessary
* Maintaining electronic records of Surplus Lines tax filings and correspondence with state entities, including affidavits, countersignatures, official forms, and accounting backup
* Gathering information for regulatory audits
* Performing other duties as assigned
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Technical skills across a breadth of technologies, with the ability to interact with both business and technology teammates
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Associate's degree in Accounting
* Experience in data entry, tax compliance, or a related field
