Job Summary As a Nursing Instructor - PT, your primary responsibilities will include providing instruction, guidance, and support to students in classroom, lab, clinical, and online settings. You will be expected to act as a professional and academic role model, demonstrating expertise in your field and upholding Concorde's mission and values. This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $45.00 to $49.00, based on experience and education. Key Responsibilities Instructional Duties Instruct classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans and course materials as required Objectively assess students for academic performance, providing regular and constructive feedback Effectively organize and present subject matter to students, utilizing instructional plans and learning management systems Ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation Monitor and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning Student Interaction Set the example and be a role model for professionalism and conduct Provide regular and constructive feedback to students regarding academic performance, grades, and professionalism Proactively inform Program Director of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation Refer students to the Program Director and/or Academic Dean if additional advising is necessary Related Duties Record keeping, scanning, and other administrative tasks as required Stay informed of current standards related to instructional methodology and participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities Attend outside workshops and seminars to improve instructional and professional skills Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies and participate in student and campus activities as requested Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Current and active RN or LVN license in the state of California One of the following: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school Valid teaching credentials Completed minimum of one year full-time teaching in a state-accredited or approved RN or LVN program Meet community college or state university teaching requirements in California Minimum of 4 years clinical experience as an RN or LVN in the last 5 years Must meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications Must meet approval of regulatory board in order to hold the position Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience in a healthcare education setting Experience with online learning platforms and instructional technology Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong instructional and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Proficient in learning management systems and educational technology Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our faculty members.
